Fresh food, nice variety

I really love the food at May Mei. The owners-servers are very friendly. Their chow mein is great as well as the breaded chicken wings. I always look for their zucchini with mushrooms. Really yummy.

If you're looking for affordable Chinese food including daily buffet, which includes classic North American faves such as chicken balls, spare ribs, won-ton soup, this is the place. Nothing fancy, decor wise, but friendly staff and good value for money.

I enjoy the buffet because they serve what I want and do it at a great price.

Best Chinese Food in Portage. Biggest portions - Lowest Prices. No need to go anywhere else.Edit One year later..... This is still by far the best chinese food in town. I would love to try the competitors, but they simply do not offer delivery. Certainly not at lunch time. May Mei will deliver your chinese craving anytime.

Everytime we go here the food is excellent. The staff are incredibly courteous and nice. Family owned and operated. Great buffet! They are always so accommodating. We've got a big family from Neepawa and Winnipeg, when my grandparents got a little up there in age they stopped doing the thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. So we would always meet here. For years we've been going. Right after my grandfather passed we were there for mother's day and having heard that he had passed they actually comped my grandmother's meal for her.Great food. Fantastic staff. Always clean!

This restaurant is great, and the prices are very reasonable—you get a lot of bang for your buck.Unbeatable price for Lunch buffet. You will find most Canadian-Chinese food selection such as; Lemon Chicken, fried chicken, vegetable stir-fry, General Tso's chicken or ribs (food choices are slightly different on the day and chef's choice), schezwan chicken, chicken ball, wanton soup, hot and sour soup, fried rice and noodle, etc. Buffet included ice cream, Jell-o and eclair.Friendly and attentive staffs. Eat local. Support your mom-and-pop store!

This is our go to Chinese restaurant in portage la prairie! Great small town chow. Excellent people. The owners are very kind and I'm happy to support them.

Excellent place, not fancy or anything but very comfortable. The place was busy , the food was fresh and hot. The staff were very friendly. I would recommend this place

Best Chinese in town hands down. We've tried them all and have only been here 5 or so times but it's always been very very good and at a very good price! I am a college trained professional cook and made a living doing so for 17 years. Always fresh and yummy eats here😊!You can take that from a pro. Very very friendly staff to make it that much more enjoyable!

Great food and the owner is a chill guy. Went in at 8:10 pm when they close at 8:30 and the owner was very receptive and cooked a new batch of food for my group 10/10 would go again
